End-to-End Transmission Network Management

The ROSA Element Manager (EM) cost-effectively monitors and controls the transmission network’s headends, hub sites and HFC outside plant, and transmitter sites. ROSA EM provides a detailed view of the transmission network and automatically notifies on-duty technicians or engineers if the network begins to operate outside of normal thresholds.

Each ROSA EM placed at a headend, hub, or remote site manages the equipment at the site and relays information to a central site to give network operators a comprehensive view of the status of all network components:

• Monitors, controls, and configures equipment
• Automatically backs up failed equipment
• Alert operators of failures
• Performs automated tasks
• Translates proprietary protocols to SNMP for the overall network manager
  

Its easy-to-use intuitive Web-based interface simplifies operation, and a space-saving 2RU configuration eases installation and maintenance. A wide range of ROSA extensions provide flexibility by supporting additional monitor and control applications.
