End-Of-Sale and End-Of-Life Announcement for the Cisco Catalyst 3550 Series Switches
Cisco Systems announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco Catalyst 3550 Series switches. The last day to order Cisco Catalyst 3550 Series switches is May 2, 2006. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until May 2, 2011.
The Cisco Catalyst 3550 Series Switch is a stackable, multilayer switch that provides high availability, quality of service (QoS), and security to enhance network operations. With a range of Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet configurations, the Cisco Catalyst 3550 Series is a powerful option for enterprise and metro access applications.
Customers can deploy industry-leading intelligent services, such as advanced QoS, rate limiting, Cisco security access control lists, multicast management, and high-performance IP routing, and maintain the simplicity of traditional LAN switching.
Available for the Catalyst 3550 Series, the Cisco Network Assistant is a free centralized management application that simplifies the administration task of Cisco switches, routers, and wireless access point. Cisco Network Assistant offers user-friendly GUI interface to easily configure, troubleshoot, and enable and monitor the network.
