Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco® Guard XT 5650-A DDoS Mitigration Appliance and Traffic Anomaly Detector XT 5600-A appliances. The last day to order the affected products is May 15, 2006. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until April 14, 2011.
Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product.
Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement. Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco Guard XT 5650-B and Traffic Anomaly Detector XT 5600-B appliances, which are hardware refreshes of the affected products and coexist with previously deployed Cisco Guard XT 5650-A and Detector XT 5600-A appliances.

PRODUCT MIGRATION OPTIONS
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the replacement products (Table 2), which will be available in June 2006. In addition to the replacement appliances, customers can also choose the Guard and Traffic Anomaly Detector service modules for the Cisco Catalyst® 6500 Series as replacements.
