Cisco Systems® announces the end of life of the Cisco® Catalyst® Switch Manager 3.0. The last day to order the Cisco Catalyst Switch Manager 3.0 is December 17, 2004. Customers will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until December 17, 2007. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco Catalyst Switch Manager Release 3.0. Table 2 provides a listing of product part numbers affected by this announcement.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco Catalyst Switch Manager Release 3.1, which provides all the features and benefits of the Cisco Catalyst Switch Manager Release 3.0 with additional protocol provisioning support for Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MST), Per VLAN Spanning Tree Protocol (PVST), and Rapid Per VLAN Spanning Tree Protocol Plus (Rapid PVST+).
