PCI Compliance

Introduction

Protect Credit Card Data

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, known as PCI, is a global industry standard of 12 requirements designed to protect credit card data, which in turn protects personal information and identities, as well as your company's reputation.

PCI applies to any company that processes, stores, or transmits credit card information, anywhere in the world. It is not specific to any specific industry, and it is not only for publicly traded companies.

The Cisco Self-Defending Network provides a comprehensive PCI compliance solution, including:

  • PCI Validated Architectures: Architectures built and audited by a PCI Qualified Security Assessor (QSA)
  • PCI Advanced Services (PDF - 304 KB) Service offerings to help you get, and stay compliant
  • PCI Security Standards Council: Participation in the council, which enables Cisco to influence the PCI standard updates and Special Interest Groups (SIG)
  • Global Relationships: Work with Cisco customers and partners around the globe to assist with their PCI projects
